What Workwear Is Fully Tax-Deductible?
Protective Clothing (PPE): The most straightforward category. If the clothing is required for health and safety, it’s deductible. This includes high-visibility jackets, steel-toe-capped boots, hard hats, and protective gloves.
Branded Uniforms: To qualify as a uniform, the clothing must have a permanent and prominent logo. Removable badges won't cut it. By using our embroidery or print services, you are creating a "corporate uniform" that HMRC recognises as a business-only asset.
Specialist Clothing: This applies to clothes that are specific to a profession and wouldn't be worn in a normal life, such as a chef’s apron or a nurse’s scrubs.
